Seedwork Rising, hand hooking yarn and textiles, dyed cattail seeds, beads, fish leather, birchwood, 2026 Nineteenth-century Victorian seedwork wreaths, made from heirloom beans, squash, and grains—many now extinct—served as sentimental displays of domestic abundance while quietly archiving unrealized life. Responding to an archived wreath, this work imagines the form germinating, swelling, and breaking its rigid order. Reimagined as a wearable collar, the wreath becomes a living, bodily presence.
