Dreamscapes

In these oil paintings, still life slips outdoors and collides with landscape. Ontario ecosystems become stages for unlikely encounters, such as a race between salt and pepper shakers across a fallow southern Ontario field. Once confined to the domestic interior, these reanimated objects escape into the wild.

Bright and sugary, they function as visual distractions from the land itself, while the dream-like scenes stir nostalgia for place, explore how we bring nature indoors, and celebrate the persistence of the wild.
